Our accent neutralization training is typically appropriate for adult learners who have at least a moderate level of conversational proficiency in the second language. Non-native speakers from any background or profession can benefit from accent reduction training. That is not to say that every non-native speaker needs to modify their accent, however. The goal of accent neutralization training is to improve speaking clarity so the non-native speaker is understood in the workplace as well as within their community; not necessarily to totally eliminate the accent. Business professionals, physicians, professors, researchers, telemarketers, etc. oftentimes request accent reduction training be provided by their employers so they can communicate more effectively with their colleagues, clients, and customers. Speakers from different language backgrounds have different speech patterns when speaking English as they are attempting to implement their own language’s pronunciation rules while speaking English. Even people from the same language background can have differing speech patterns based upon the age at which they learned English, the characteristics of their teacher’s speech, and influences of other languages they may speak.

Accent play a vital role in describing where you come from, which in turn can make or break an impression. Most recruiters cannot escape the accent bias and tend to pigeon hole candidates on the basis of their accents, which is completely irrational but can be avoided. Accent neutralization is the only key to not let your accent speak about your origins. You may be from any part of the world but if you neutralize your accent, you can let people pay more attention to your work than your accent. During an interview it is crucial to not let your accent be recruiter’s focus of attention, it may trigger an emotional response which may or may not be desirable. According to a study conducted University of North Texas, it was noticed that recruiters are predisposed to hiring candidates of a certain accent and favoring them with prestigious jobs.

An accent is the process by which speaker substitute a sound by their native language, this happens mainly because speaker is unaware that specific sounds exist in English therefore, they use the closest sound from their native language. Because of that, people don't understand what you want to say or sometimes people understand what you want to say but it's unpleasant to listen. A study from the University of Chicago states that "people believe non-native speakers less, simply because they are harder to understand." This accent training mainly focuses on accent Neutralization including the difference between British and American accent. Learning accent is different than other skills like grammar and vocabulary it involves the Training, Practicing and proper instructions. If you speak English with noticeable regional dialect it's harder for other people, especially Native Speakers to understand you clearly. As a result, your accent can hold you back from being hired or getting a promotion at work. Simply observing and knowing How to, isn't enough, awareness & knowledge are important but accent develops by practicing pronunciation daily.

By the end of this training, you improve common Pronunciation errors those are influenced by the Mother Tongue, so you speak with flow and rhythm. Accent training helps you to build career Success so you easily create a strong relationship with colleagues & clients because you are now easily understood.
